The Wilson System® designer and chief engineer, Tom Wilson, has over 50 years’ experience in the steam industry and could arguably be the most distinguished authority on steam storage in the world. Tom has carried out his apprenticeship working together long term with the leading steam engineers gaining vast experience and a unique knowledge of the subject. Tom has worked and designed bespoke systems in a variety of industries, including but not exclusive to power generation, steel, textiles, food, biotechnology and polystyrene. He is a technical author contributing to published technical data by Spirax Sarco and winner of the UK Government Smart Award. Over the last 10 years, Tom has targeted the waste industry and has been able to prove that steam treatment using autoclave technology of municipal solid waste is a genuine answer to a serious environmental issue.
