Aritha specializes in fermentation and bioprocess development and brings a wealth of expertise on using Wilson Fiber as a fermentation feedstock. During her PhD Aritha developed a bioprocess for valorizing Wilson Fibre into biofuels. Her thesis investigated the composition and properties of Wilson Fiber for application as a fermentation feedstock, and identified several microbial species that can robustly and efficiently ferment enzymatic hydrolysate of Wilson Fiber into biofuels, including bioethanol and biodiesel.
